"...I really liked how you explained strokes and I couldn't love my stroke brushes any more. Game changer!!! It gave me more confidence that I could make a floral shape even with something that I thought was "ruined"
- Erin
"I am happy that I am learning new skills like how I use and manipulate brushes esp the large brushes as I've never tried painting large (larger than A5) before. I am developing in my understanding of composition, depth using varied value, and colour palette. I don't know if I am improving but I think I am gaining confidence in my approach to florals, I am relying less on copying and using more independent thinking by applying what I've learned in Brush Movement."
- Evelyn
"I found your tips on water and paint ratio very helpful. I actually started off with vintage florals and couldn't understand why I had those weird edges but now I do! And also, 1 get what you mean about using a formula to paint cos after painting with some workshops, I can only paint one particular flower but I realised I can't actually visualise how to paint other flowers to complement it on my own. But your workshop was helpful in learning how to do that and the tips are helpful for landscape too."
- Serene
"I did take away a VERY valuable suggestion which is ALREADY reaping a very different feel in my painting...NOT holding the brush at the ferule. There is a sense of freedom holding the brush higher up and utilizing the movement of the arm. THANK YOU. I am practicing this and I can see how this can lead to "looser" florals."

I am a watercolor artist based in Singapore.
My 24/7 job is a mother. My 5 year old would tell you that “my mummy is a painter”.
Painting is a space that I have carved out for myself in the busyness of motherhood. Specifically, painting flowers reminds me of how brief seasons are - just as how each season in motherhood is fleeting.
I believe that any one who creates is an artist and it does not take professional background, space or experience to define your title.
I want to empower artists to go from feeling discouraged, uncertain and making little progress - to gaining trust and joy in their unique art making process.

In the quiet of Winter, I approached the blank paper of new beginnings, surrounded by the gentle hush of snow. This season of nurture whispered, "It’s okay to be slow, to learn, to simply be with oneself." While painting snowdrops and hellebores, my inner critic loomed, casting shadows of doubt about my worth as an artist. Yet, it was in the simplicity and delicate strength of these flowers where I found whispers of joy, urging me to embrace and nourish the slow unfolding of my artistic roots.

With Spring’s warmth, the landscape blossomed, and so did I—my art alive with the hues of crocus, tulip, and anemone. Each brushstroke was a bold declaration of my evolving style, yet the fear of imperfection lingered. The reassurance of dawn’s light whispered, "Your blooms are perfectly imperfect; uniquely yours." Spring’s lesson was simple yet profound: embrace your path, bloom confidently, and let your art narrate your truth.

With the full bloom of Summer, my paper shouted in hues of marigolds and poppies. “This is me, my art!” I declared, my voice clear. The warm air around me felt like a tight embrace from an old friend, reassuring me of my place in the world of colors.
